Work with our E&I and IPMT teams to deliver Hogan Lovells expertise to our clients.

At Hogan Lovells, our one constant has always been that we embrace change. It is what has moulded the firm we are today and what shapes the firm will be tomorrow. The one that finds strength in breadth, makes good on promises to society and champions our people, all the way through to partnership. Established, but never static. Elite, but never elitist. Global, but still personal. We are a firm who are building on our heritage to drive, decide and define the future. In all kinds of unexpected ways.

Defined by Difference is our shared belief across our firm, our teams bring together a diversity of perspectives, experiences and backgrounds, and support each other to be our best. We believe that everyone should have access to the legal sector, regardless of their background. That is why we are delighted to introduce the very first virtual job simulation that provides both an insight into working at a commercial law firm, how we work with our clients, and the work you would do as an in-house lawyer.

The programme is open to everyone but aimed at students at school or in their first year of university. You will gain both technical and soft skills which are essential to a career in commercial law as well as a deeper understanding of two key practice areas: Energy and Infrastructure (E&I), and Intellectual Property, Media and Technology (IPMT). E&I tasks include pitching to a hypothetical multinational client, reviewing a draft loan agreement, and executing a document. For IPMT tasks, Hogan Lovells is partnering with and showcasing a real client, Vodafone. In a hypothetical scenario, students will advise Vodafone on potential grounds for making a trademark infringement claim and explain trademark registrations to Vodafone’s in-house counsel.

This program is self-paced. It takes approximately 6-7 hours to complete.
