Are you an artist who believes creative expression can change young lives?
Our Springfield-based youth arts center is seeking passionate college students to support transformative summer programming for middle and high school youth. This is more than a summer job — it’s an opportunity to mentor young artists, build leadership skills, and contribute to a vibrant creative community.
What You’ll Do
- Support classes and workshops in visual arts, dance, music, theater, digital media/photography/videography, and/or creative writing
- Assist teaching artists and help facilitate engaging, high-quality arts instruction
- Mentor and encourage middle and high school students from Springfield, MA
- Help prepare materials, manage studio spaces, and support performances/showcases
- Contribute to a safe, inclusive, youth-centered environment
Who You Are
- Current college student or recent graduate
- Experienced in at least one artistic discipline
- Interested in arts education, youth development, nonprofit leadership, or community arts
- Enthusiastic about working with middle and high school youth in Springfield
- Reliable and available June 22–August 7, 2026
- The week of June 22nd is a training week and will not be a full week. Dates and times are currently TBD. There will then be a break from June 27 to July 9th. The program begins on July 13th and will run M to F until August 7th.
Youth development experience preferred, but strong interest and commitment to mentorship are essential. Youth development training will be provided.
