The New England Section of the PGA (NEPGA) is offering a Video and Content Creator internship for three–months to college students or recent graduates from June to August. The New England Section, PGA is one of 41 Sections of the PGA of America, the world’s largest working sports organization. The New England Section is the 6th largest Section in the country, including the states of Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Rhode Island as well as the eastern 2/3 of Massachusetts. With upwards of 1000 PGA members & apprentices working at more than 500 golf facilities across the region, the Section is responsible for managing various programs including employment, education, marketing and member tournaments.
The NEPGA Video and Content Creator intern will assist in the production of engaging video content, digital media, and social media materials to promote events, initiatives, and members in the New England PGA Section, PGA REACH New England, and The New England PGA Jr Tour.
This is an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about video production, digital storytelling, and social media engagement within the sports and golf industry.
Purpose: Build awareness of the New England PGA Section, The New England PGA Foundation (PGA REACH New England), and the New England PGA Junior Tour. Celebrate the accomplishments of our PGA Members, our efforts to grow the game of golf, and our impact of those in the community through the game of golf.
Responsibilities
- Video Production:
- Assist with filming, editing, and producing video content for social media and marketing campaigns.
- Help capture behind-the-scenes footage, highlight reels, interviews, and promotional videos for events and tournaments.
- Work with the team to storyboard and plan video content.
- Content Creation
- Create engaging social media posts and multimedia content to increase online engagement and support the organization’s mission.
- Help develop creative strategies to produce original content for Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and other digital platforms.
- Edit photos, videos, and graphics for online and offline use.
- Social Media
- Assist in managing social media platforms by scheduling and posting content in a timely and engaging manner.
- Monitor social media channels for feedback, mentions, and engagement opportunities.
Experience / Qualifications:
- Working knowledge of the game of golf
- Interest in sports and content creation
- Proficiency in WordPress, Adobe Suite, Meta Business, Canva, etc.
- Exemplary written and oral communication skills
- Basic understanding of how to operate a camera, lighting, audio equipment, and video editing software
- Strong work ethic
- Highly organized, punctual, energetic, and a “self-starter”
- While it’s not mandatory, having your own equipment is highly encouraged and beneficial
- Must be in college or a recent graduate
Dates Needed: May – September Compensation: hourly and per diem reimbursement
