The Legal Counsel and Executive Assistant to the CEO will assist in expanding our business in the USA and globally through a new franchising model. Responsibilities
– Quickly understand U.S. and California employment and employment service-related laws to support the company in legally providing Employer of Record services in California.
– Quickly understand the statutory responsibilities and obligations of employers in California to ensure the company operates as a legal employer in California.
– Provide the operations team with the latest U.S. and California tax laws and payroll-related regulations, and assist them in accurately interpreting these laws.
– Review contracts for the company’s U.S. and global operations based on the company’s standard templates.
– Work with the legal team to provide recommendations on contract terms that exceed standard templates.
– Handle and coordinate the company’s litigation matters in the U.S. under the direction and guidance of the Legal Manager.
– Collaborate in maintaining the U.S. pages on the company website, ensuring they professionally and clearly describe the company’s services and processes in the U.S.
– Assist the CEO in formulating and implementing execution plans under the company’s established global business model and development strategy.
– Collaborate with the franchise development team to develop and manage the first ten franchisees, establishing a mature franchise development and management model.
– Coordinate or manage the online marketing team’s activities, ensuring data and performance-driven online marketing actions.
– Participate in marketing, sales, and vendor management meetings.
– Provide strategic input for the technological and AI advancement of the company’s business, leveraging the company’s existing technical capabilities (we have a payroll SaaS technology company in China) and Silicon Valley’s technological developments.
– Assist the CEO in building the U.S. organizational structure and recruiting the U.S. team.
– Schedule and coordinate the CEO’s work agenda, handling personal matters related to work.
– Provide interpretation and translation for the CEO in high-level English communication scenarios.
– Accompany the CEO on business trips.
– Manage the credentials of company administration accounts on multiple platforms, e.g., Google account.
Requirements
– Bachelor’s degree or higher in Law or Management.
– Excellent proficiency in English and Chinese.
– Ability to adapt to changes in the company’s work location (currently in San Jose).
– Strong organizational skills, ability to quickly grasp key points, and identify issues from data.
– High execution capability, efficient and timely in task completion.
